Protect yourself from scams

• Never send money to anyone you meet on iRishtaa — no matter the story. This is the single most important rule.
• Take a video call before meeting in person, and meet first in a public place.
• Keep conversations on-platform early on — moving quickly to phone or private apps is a common scam pattern.
• Be cautious of profiles that rush intimacy, avoid video calls, or claim sudden emergencies abroad.

Your privacy controls

• Photos are private by default — visible only to members whose interest you've accepted or approved.
• Your contact details are never shown until a connection is established and you choose to share.
• You can deactivate or permanently delete your profile at any time — and deletion is honoured, fully.

Report & block

If anyone makes you uncomfortable, report them. Reporting a member immediately blocks them — they can no longer see or contact you — and our moderation team reviews every report.
